Here is a better photo of my giant granny blanket from the crochet along last fall. This photo is taken on my king sized bed so it will give you an idea how large it is. It is 70 rounds including the border, and I used worsted weight yarn and an I hook.
I must have been standing on a ladder!

Here is a close up of the last few rounds with the border. The border is the Ole Ole pattern found on the side bar of Sucrette's blog.
I hope you are enjoying your Memorial Day weekend and finding some time to do a bit of crocheting or knitting today.

ReplyDeleteI love your giant granny blanket...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!
Wow, you are a busy bee, I love your quilts and the crochet granny squares look pretty. xx
ReplyDeleteIts beautiful. How long did it take you to make it? And what size hook did you use if you dont mind me asking.
ReplyDeleteI used a size I hook, and it probably took me a couple of months to finish. I used worsted weight yarn, and when the rounds got larger I tried to do one round a day. I stopped at 70 rounds because the afghan is really heavy.
ReplyDeleteI missed this one. The first project we all (you, Cyn, Elly and me) worked on, and your giant granny looks great!
